How does bread work?  I mean it’s such a simple recipe, right, but whoever had the idea of mixing flour, water, yiest (of all things!) and salt together?  And where was it born?

The simplest, no-kneading bread recipe in the world!

3 cups all-purpose or bread flour, more for dusting
¼ teaspoon instant yeast
1¼ teaspoons salt
Cornmeal or wheat bran as needed.
